Some songs fade with time, while others continue to resonate across generations. One such song is ‘Je Pakhi Ghor Bojhena’, sung by popular Bangladeshi singer Dhruba Guha.
More than a decade after its release, the song has crossed 100 million views on YouTube, becoming one of the few Bangla songs to achieve the milestone.
Released on YouTube on 18 July 2015, the track quickly won the hearts of listeners.
Its popularity has remained strong over the years, with a new generation of audiences continuing to embrace the song.
After years of consistent viewership and appreciation, it has now entered YouTube’s prestigious 100 million views club.
The lyrics and composition were created by Plabon Koreshi, while Torik Al Islam handled the music arrangement.
The song’s emotional lyrics, melodious composition and Dhruba Guha’s distinctive vocals have helped it remain popular long after its release.
The music video was directed by Shubhabrata Sarkar and features performances by Tarek and Tarin.
Dhruba Guha also appears in the video, adding to its appeal.
The story-driven narrative and visually appealing production received praise from audiences from the very beginning.
Reacting to the achievement, Dhruba Guha said the milestone marked one of the happiest moments of his musical career.
“There can be no greater achievement for an artiste than seeing a song remain alive in people’s hearts for years. I sincerely thank Bangla-speaking listeners and viewers across Bangladesh and around the world for their love and support. Their encouragement inspires me to continue creating new music. This achievement belongs not only to me but to everyone associated with the song,” he says.
Only a limited number of Bangla songs have surpassed the 100 million mark on YouTube.
The inclusion of ‘Je Pakhi Ghor Bojhena’ in that list marks another significant achievement for Dhruba Guha and reflects the growing global reach of Bangla music in the digital era.
