Rock music veterans James and Rupam Islam are set to reunite on stage for a special concert in Sydney.
The duo, frontman of Nagar Baul and Fossils respectively, have previously shared the stage at select events, drawing strong audience response. Their upcoming performance, titled ‘Live in Sydney’, is scheduled for September 12 at the Norwest Convention Centre in New South Wales.
Organisers have described the show as a landmark event for Bengali rock music, bringing together two of its most influential voices outside South Asia. The concert will feature performances alongside their respective bands, promising a setlist built around some of their most popular tracks.
According to organisers, the event aims to recreate the energy of classic Bengali rock concerts for the diaspora audience in Australia, positioning it as a major cultural gathering for music fans.
James continues to remain active in live performances while working on new recordings, though release timelines for upcoming tracks are yet to be confirmed. He recently performed at several concerts in Bangladesh and also appeared at international shows over the past year.
Rupam Islam, meanwhile, is engaged in both music and literary work, including promoting his recent book, alongside ongoing performances with Fossils.
