Jamaat-e-Islami has postponed the unveiling of its election manifesto for the 13th National Parliamentary Election, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday.

The party’s central publicity and media department announced the decision on Saturday night, citing unavoidable circumstances.

Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair and head of its media and publicity department, confirmed the postponement.

He said the programme was deferred due to an urgent and unexpected trip by Jamaat Ameer Shafiqur Rahman to Sherpur. As a result, the manifesto announcement could not be held as planned.

The party said the revised date and time for the manifesto unveiling would be announced officially by Sunday afternoon.

As the election draws closer, public interest in the manifestos of political parties has been growing, particularly regarding development plans and proposed reforms outlined by major parties.
