International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International Campus of Science and Technology (ICST) of Sri Lanka to enhance academic cooperation between the two institutions.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the ICST campus in Sri Lanka on Sunday. Under the agreement, the two universities will collaborate in areas including student exchange, faculty exchange, joint research and other academic activities, reads a press release.
The agreement was signed by ICST Vice Chancellor Ms. Sriyani Wikramasinghe on behalf of the Sri Lankan university, while Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman, Treasurer of IIUC, signed on behalf of the Bangladeshi institution.
The ceremony was attended by ICST Founder and Chancellor M L A M Hizbullah, Vice Chancellor Sriyani Wikramasinghe, Registrar P T A Hassan, Head of Operations E A R N B Wikramasinghe and Facilities Manager S M Thahir.
Representing IIUC, Professor Muhammad Mahbubur Rahman and Muhammad Mahfuzur Rahman, Acting Director of the International Affairs and Student Welfare Division, participated in the event.
As a gesture of goodwill, the IIUC delegation presented a commemorative crest to the Vice Chancellor of ICST following the signing ceremony.
