Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar has called upon the authorities to identify those attempting to destabilise the upcoming elections to provide an advantage to a certain quarter.

Speaking as the chief guest at an election rally on Friday at the Maulaganj Bazar field in Brahmanbaria, he also demanded the immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of all suspects involved in the murder of Rezaul Karim, secretary of Sreebardi Upazila Jamaat in Sherpur.

The rally was organised to support Md Mohsin, the candidate nominated by Jamaat and backed by an 11-party electoral alliance, who is contesting with the “Scales” (Daripalla) symbol.
