A cultural showcase highlighting Bangladesh’s heritage, traditional arts and tourism potential brought together artists, cultural personalities and business representatives, with speakers calling for greater investment and promotion of the country’s tourism sector.
The Bangladeshi Cultural Evening was organised by the Australian Association of Bangladesh and produced by Aria Multimedia (Pvt.) Limited with support from Goldsands Group. The event was attended by distinguished guests, cultural figures, artists and media representatives.
Shimul Chowdhury, assistant deputy managing director of Goldsands Group, said Bangladesh’s tourism sector has significant potential and investment in the industry could create opportunities for economic growth, employment generation and long-term development.
She stressed the need to promote Bangladesh’s natural beauty, cultural heritage and tourism destinations to both domestic and international visitors.
Cultural Affairs Minister Advocate Nitai Roy Chowdhury praised the initiative, highlighting the importance of preserving and promoting Bangladesh’s cultural heritage.
He said culture and tourism are closely linked and developing the tourism sector could help strengthen Bangladesh’s international image.
The event featured a fashion show, traditional dance performances and musical presentations, showcasing the diversity of Bangladesh’s cultural traditions.
