Bangladesh right-arm pacer Hasan Mahmud is unlikely to feature in the upcoming Bangladesh Cricket League (longer version) as he continues his recovery from a right tennis elbow injury. The four-day BCL tournament is scheduled to begin on April 21.
A source from the Bangladesh Cricket Board’s medical department said, Hasan will need more time to regain full rhythm, adding that he is currently bowling at around 70 percent intensity.
He has recently trained with a wider pool of national team players across formats at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Hasan sustained the injury prior to the previous ODI series against Pakistan and subsequently missed the series. He has also not been considered for the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand, which begins on April 17.
However, he is expected to be in contention for a potential comeback during the two-match series against Pakistan in May.
