Grameen Danone Foods Limited has become First Runner-Up in the Social Impact Project of the Year Small category at the Bangladesh Project Management Awards 2025. The award was presented on Monday at the Radisson Blu Water Garden in Dhaka, said a press release.
The recognition celebrates the company’s Milk for School Program jointly implemented with Heifer International Korea and Heifer International Bangladesh in Ullapara, Sirajganj.
The initiative ensures fair milk prices for local women dairy farmers through a community-based Milk Chilling Center. The collected milk is used to produce Shokti+ fortified yoghurt, distributed free to 2,245 schoolchildren in the locality.
The program has created measurable social and economic outcomes by improving child nutrition, supporting women-led dairy livelihoods and strengthening community supply chains. It aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly zero hunger, gender equality and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
