The government has introduced specific daily fuel supply limits for various types of vehicle to ensure a steady flow of fuel based on public demand.

Under the new guidelines, motorcycles will receive 2 liters of octane/petrol per trip, private cars will be allocated 10 liters, and microbuses, SUVs, and jeeps will be allotted 20-25 liters.

For diesel, the daily supply is set at 70 to 80 liters for pickup trucks and local buses, while long-distance buses, trucks, covered vans, and container trucks will receive between 200-220 liters per trip.

This announcement was made in a press release issued by the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources on Thursday.

The government has also urged the public and media to refrain from spreading misleading information regarding the country’s fuel reserves.
