The Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has issued a caution regarding applications submitted under the freedom fighter quota for admission to class XI.
A press release signed by Khandaker Ehsanul Kabir, president of the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, was issued in this regard on Sunday.
It added, “Students who have applied or confirmed admission under the freedom fighter quota as grandchildren of freedom fighters without fulfilling the stipulated eligibility, are advised to cancel their applications at the respective education board and reapply by September 1, 2025.
“Otherwise, the board authority will not be held responsible for any complications that may arise later during admission.”
According to the Admission Policy for Class XI-2025, applicants under the freedom fighter quota for the academic year 2025-2026 must be the children of freedom fighters/martyred freedom fighters.
The press release also said students selected under the freedom fighter quota must submit attested copies of proof documents/gazette notifications during college admission and present the original copies at the time of admission.
