Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has reduced gold prices in the local market after increasing rates in two consecutive revisions, lowering the price of 22-carat gold by Tk2,216 per bhori.
Under the new rates, one bhori of 22-carat gold will now cost Tk242,495.
Bajus announced the revised prices in a statement on Friday morning and said the new rates would come into effect from 10am. The association said prices were adjusted as the rate of pure gold declined in the local market.
