Gold prices have been reduced by Tk2,216 per bhori, with 22-carat gold now set at Tk258,824 per bhori, the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) said on Tuesday.
The rate has come into effect immediately, the association said in a morning notification.
The price adjustment followed a decline in the price of pure gold, locally known as tejabi gold, in the domestic market.
Under the revised structure, 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk247,044 per bhori and 18-carat gold at Tk211,760 per bhori.
Gold produced under the traditional method has been set at Tk173,327 per bhori.
The selling price must include a mandatory 5 per cent government VAT and a minimum 6 per cent making charge set by BAJUS.
The making charge may vary depending on the design and quality of the jewellery.
On 9 February, BAJUS raised the price of 22-carat gold by Tk2,216 per bhori to Tk261,040.
So far in 2026, gold prices have been adjusted 29 times in the local market, with 18 increases and 11 reductions.
Despite the latest cut, silver prices remain unchanged.
Twenty-two-carat silver is selling at Tk6,357 per bhori, while 21-carat silver stands at Tk6,065 per bhori.
Eighteen-carat silver is priced at Tk5,190 per bhori and traditional silver at Tk3,907 per bhori.
