Milestone College authorities have filed a general diary (GD) with Turag Police Station against former student Rubaiya Mehzabin Suhi, alleging that she used the institution’s identity card during HSC exam protests.
The college claimed she delivered provocative anti-government speeches while wearing the ID card.
The GD was filed by the college’s security officer Muhammad Zahurul Islam on behalf of the institution.
According to college sources, Suhi was a student of the Science Department (English Version) for the 2024-25 academic year. However, she was issued a transfer certificate (TC) on disciplinary grounds with approval from the Dhaka Education Board, making her no longer a student of the college.
The authorities alleged that she had no right to use the college’s identity card after leaving the institution.
They claimed that a video circulating on social media showed Suhi wearing a Milestone College ID card while delivering speeches during protests related to HSC examinations.
The college said her actions could mislead the public and harm the institution’s reputation.
However, a student activist platform named “Boiler Chicken Party” made different claims in a social media post, saying Suhi is a student of Megacity College.
The group alleged that Milestone College authorities filed the GD out of “over-enthusiasm” because Suhi spoke to the media.
It also claimed that students from Milestone College are often transferred to Megacity College for administrative convenience and that students of the two institutions sometimes sit together during board examinations.
