Gamers anticipating the release of ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ (GTA 6) have been discussing its potential file size and pre-order pricing as excitement builds ahead of its expected November launch.
The debate intensified online after fans on Reddit began speculating about how large the game installation could be, with many suggesting they may need to delete existing games to make room. Some players joked that they are ready to “erase everything” from their consoles in order to install the highly anticipated title.
Comparisons were drawn with previous Rockstar releases such as ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ and ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’, as well as other large-scale modern titles.
Estimates shared by users ranged widely, with some predicting the game could launch at around 200GB and potentially grow further over time due to updates and additional content.
One fan wrote: “I don’t know but I’m prepared to erase everything for it.”
Another commented: “GTA is like 120 GB now after 12 years, RDR2 is like 150 GB now, so I’d assume GTA VI will be somewhere around 200 GB at the start, then probably go upwards of 300 GB after a couple of years.”
Others suggested they were ready regardless of size, with one stating they would use their entire available storage to ensure they could play the game at launch.
Alongside storage concerns, discussion has also emerged around reported early listings for pre-orders. An Italian retailer was said to have listed the game at €69.90, although it is not confirmed as an official price from Rockstar Games. The listing has fuelled further speculation among fans about pricing expectations ahead of release.
Some users dismissed the listing as unofficial or speculative, while others suggested smaller retailers may be attempting to capitalise on anticipation surrounding the title.
Despite the uncertainty, anticipation for ‘GTA VI’ remains high, with fans continuing to follow updates closely as the November release window approaches.
