The government has reduced the price of all types of fuel oil by Tk2 per litre, effective from Thursday.
A gazette notification was issued on Wednesday by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.
According to the notification, the prices were adjusted to ensure a more affordable supply of fuel oil. The revision was made under the updated pricing formula, which sets consumer prices in line with fluctuations in the global market.
The selling price of diesel has been reduced from Tk104 to Tk102, and octane from Tk124 to Tk122.
In addition, the price of petrol has been lowered from Tk120 to Tk118, while kerosene has been reduced from Tk116 to Tk114.
