Bangladesh Television (BTV) has launched a special programme titled ‘Prothom Vote’ ahead of the 13th National Parliament Election and Referendum, aiming to encourage public participation in the voting process.
Hosted by Ferdousi Ahmed Chowdhury and produced by Yasir Arafat, the programme will air every Tuesday and Friday at 10:00 pm on BTV. It began broadcasting on Monday, January 13, and will continue until the National Parliament Election.
The programme brings together men and women from different backgrounds and professions who will be voting for the first time.
Participants will share their questions, concerns and opinions about the election, offering viewers a direct insight into the expectations and curiosity of first-time voters.
Representatives from the Election Commission will also appear on the show to explain various aspects of the electoral process, including procedures and regulations.
Topics covered in First Vote include voter registration, voting methods, the electoral code of conduct, the importance of voting and civic responsibility, as well as other key election-related issues.
The programme presents this information in a simple and accessible format to help viewers better understand the democratic process.
