After a month of fasting, Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated across Bangladesh with due religious fervor, alongside other Muslim-majority countries around the world.

On Saturday morning, amid a festive atmosphere, Eid congregations were held at mosques in Dhaka. The first Eid congregation at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque took place around 7am.

Following the congregation, special prayers were offered seeking the welfare of the nation and its people.

Worshippers from different parts of Dhaka began gathering early in the morning to join the prayers. The mosque premises were filled with devotees of all ages from children to the elderly.

After the prayers, worshippers embraced one another and exchanged Eid greetings.
