The Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) has launched an e-fire licence system to simplify the process of delivering public services.
From Friday, new licences, renewals and re-evaluations will be processed online, while all manual applications for licences will be discontinued.
Director General Brigadier General Muhammad Jahed Kamal inaugurated the system at 3pm on Thursday at the conference room of the FSCD EOC building in Mirpur-10.

The project has been implemented by Parky Rabbit Corporation Limited.
Officials said the long-standing manual system has been phased out, allowing users to complete the entire process, from application to receiving the licence, online from home.
They also sought cooperation from all stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation.
Director Operation and Maintenance and project team leader Lieutenant Colonel Md Mahmudul Hasan delivered the opening remarks.
Others present included Director Administration and Finance Md Shahid Atahar Hossain, Deputy Director Administration and Finance Md Mizanur Rahman, Deputy Director Chattogram Division Md Jasim Uddin, Deputy Director Rangpur Division Md Anwarul Haque, Assistant Director Sylhet Md Toufiqul Islam Bhuiya, Warehouse Inspector Montu Biswas, and senior officials of Fire Service along with representatives of Parky Rabbit Corporation Limited.
