A moving worker-carrying bus caught on fire in Ashulia, but no casualties have been reported in the incident.

The incident took place on Tuesday at around 4:30pm in front of Sambhar Filling Station on the Nabinagar-Chandra highway in Ashulia, involving a moving bus named Sima-Shimla Enterprise.

The bus driver and owner stated that the bus had gone to pick up workers from two garment factories in the DEPZ from the Palashbari area of Ashulia. Upon reaching the front of the Sambhar Filling Station near the new DEPZ, they suddenly noticed a fire in the back seat of the bus.

The driver then stopped the bus on the road and sought help from the police. Later, a unit of the Fire Service arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control.

Duty Officer Mostafizur Rahman of the DEPZ Fire Service said that upon receiving the news, a unit of the DEPZ Fire Service arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control.

The origin of the fire is not yet known, with details to be provided after an investigation.
