A fire that broke out in a residential building in Old Dhaka’s Chawkbazar area has been brought under control as of 6pm on Monday.
Seven units from Lalbagh, Palashi, and Siddiq Bazar fire stations worked to extinguish the blaze.
The fire erupted on the third floor of a three-storey building in the Rahmatganj Dalpotti area.
According to Anwarul Islam, Media Officer of the Fire Service, the incident was reported at 4:42pm, and all seven units reached the site promptly to begin firefighting operations.
