The final charge sheet in the murder case of Sharif Osman bin Hadi, a prominent figure in the July uprising, will be submitted on January 7, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Nasimul Ghani said on Monday.
Speaking to reporters after the 19th meeting of the law and order advisory committee, Nasimul Ghani said 11 individuals have already been arrested in connection with the case.
He emphasized that the interim government is treating the matter with the highest priority.
“The case will be transferred to the Speedy Trial Tribunal, and justice for this murder will be ensured within the interim government’s tenure,” he said.
The senior secretary noted that law enforcement agencies have been directed to take proper and effective measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
