Legendary Bangladeshi pop singer Ferdous Wahid and expatriate Bangladeshi artiste Sayeeda Shampa have released their new duet song ‘Mon Bojhe Na’, with lyrics by acclaimed lyricist Golam Morshed and composition and music arrangement by Shaheed Mahmud.
Speaking about the song, Ferdous Wahid said he was pleased with the final result and praised the creative team behind the project.
“First of all, I would say this is a very good piece of work. It was bound to be, because Golam Morshed is an extremely talented lyricist whose songs I have always admired. My co-artiste Sayeeda Shampa has also performed beautifully. Altogether, Mon Bojhe Na is a song that can touch listeners’ hearts. I hope everyone will enjoy it,” he said.
Sayeeda Shampa described the collaboration with Ferdous Wahid as one of the highlights of the project.
“One of the greatest joys for me is that I had the opportunity to sing alongside legendary Bangladeshi artiste Ferdous Wahid. Singing a duet with him is a special experience. Mon Bojhe Na is the second song we have recorded together. Just like the first one, I felt as though I had been singing with him for many years. He remains deeply involved throughout the recording and filming process with great sincerity,” she said.
She also praised the song’s creative contributors, adding that Shaheed Mahmud had crafted a sweet romantic melody and musical arrangement around Golam Morshed’s lyrics.
“I enjoyed every moment of working on this song and hope listeners will enjoy it in the same way,” she added.
Lyricist Golam Morshed also expressed his appreciation for the artistes involved in the project.
“Ferdous Wahid is not only a legend but also an exceptional human being. Working with him is always a pleasure. As for his singing, there is simply no comparison. Sayeeda Shampa has also delivered the emotion that the lyrics required. I am very pleased with the outcome. The music video, released on the YouTube channel of production company Gaan Janala, was directed by Rumki Rusa and Mashrur Hossain. Khushi and Rahat appeared as models in the video.
