BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited Evercare Hospital on Friday night to inquire about the health of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Sharif Osman Hadi, the spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha and a potential independent candidate for Dhaka-8.
According to Shairul Kabir Khan of the BNP media cell, Fakhrul first inquired about Khaleda Zia’s condition and later went to see Hadi at around 11:20pm.
He was accompanied by BNP Standing Committee member Prof Dr AZM Zahid Hossain.
Sharif Osman Hadi was shot on Box Culvert Road in Dhaka’s Bijoynagar area shortly after Friday Jumma prayers.
He was initially treated at Dhaka Medical College Hospital before being transferred to Evercare Hospital for further care.
Hadi, widely known on social media as Osman Hadi, serves as the spokesperson for Inqilab Mancha.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital since 23 November under a team of specialist doctors led by Professor Shahabuddin Talukdar. The medical board also includes Dr Zubaida Rahman, wife of Khaleda Zia’s elder son Tarique Rahman.
