The Election Commission (EC) has announced that the updated final voter list will be published on 18 November ahead of the upcoming 13th national election.
In a press release issued on Monday, the EC detailed the schedule for finalising the voter roll. Citizens born on or before 31 October 2007 will be eligible to be included.
According to the timetable, the preparation of the updated draft voter list in PDF format and its distribution through the registration officers’ CMS portal must be completed by 25 October. The draft will then be printed on 1 November.
The deadline for filing claims, objections, and correction applications is set for 16 November, while the concerned authorities must resolve all such applications by 17 November. The finalised list will subsequently be published the next day.
Earlier, on 31 August 2025, the EC released a supplementary final voter roll. As per that list, the total number of registered voters in the country stood at 12,63,07,504—including 6,41,00,455 men, 6,22,05,819 women, and 1,230 transgender individuals.
At that time, EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed confirmed that individuals turning 18 by 31 October would also be included in this year’s final roll.
