Bangladesh Election Commission (EC) has announced that those who wish to vote via postal ballot for the upcoming 13th national election must complete the voting process by 25 January.

EC provided this information in a notification on Wednesday.

EC officials stated that the directive has been issued to ensure that votes cast by expatriate voters can reach the concerned Returning Officer (RO) within the stipulated timeframe.

The notification added that if postal ballots are not sent by 25 January, there is a risk they may not reach the Returning Officer in time. Therefore, expatriate voters have been requested to complete the voting process by 25 January and submit their ballots to the nearest post office.
