A two-day medical camp for teachers of the Faculty of Arts at University of Dhaka began on Monday at the Shahid Mofazzal Haider Chowdhury Conference Room.
Popular Diagnostic Centre is providing overall support for the programme, according to a press release.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Saima Haque Bidisha, and Treasurer Professor M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury of the University of Dhaka separately visited the medical camp.
Also present on the occasion were Dean of the Faculty of Arts Professor Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan, former Dean Professor Sadrul Amin, coordinator of the medical camp Professor MA Kawsar, and teachers of the faculty.
On the opening day of the two-day programme, teachers from different departments under the Faculty of Arts received free health check-ups.
On the concluding day on Tuesday, specialist physicians will provide health consultations and prescribe medicines for the teachers.
