The admission test for the first-year undergraduate (honours) programmes under Science unit of Dhaka University for 2025–2026 academic session has been postponed.
The decision comes as Dhaka University will observe a day of mourning on Saturday, as part of the state mourning declared following the death of former DU student Sharif Osman Hadi.
As a result, the Science unit admission test scheduled for Saturday has been postponed, university authorities said.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued by the Public Relations Office of Dhaka University on Friday.
According to the release, the decision was taken in honour of the brave July fighter Sharif Osman Hadi, as well as all July fighters and martyrs who took part in July uprising. A new schedule for the postponed admission test will be announced soon.
