Supporters of Osman Hadi, spokesperson for the Inquilab Mancha, have blocked Shahbagh intersection in Dhaka, demanding swift justice for his murder. Protesters have occupied the area for nearly 13 hours since Thursday night.
Eyewitnesses said demonstrators began gathering at Shahbagh from around 10:30pm, marching from different parts of the city. They staged sit-ins at the intersection and participated in intermittent processions throughout the night.

During the protest, demonstrators raised slogans including, “Leaders behind bars”, “Who are you, who am I—Hadi Hadi”, “My brother’s blood will not go in vain”, and “My brother is in the grave, why is the killer free?”
Shahbagh Police Station’s officer-in-charge, Khalid Monsur, said barricades had been placed on the road and traffic remains blocked.
A student protester at Shahbagh, Arafat Rahman Uday, said they were demanding justice for Osman Hadi’s killing. He added that Hadi had been a key ally during the July movement and that his murder was unacceptable.
