The electronic subscription of the Sajida Orange Zero-Coupon Bond has been launched through the electronic subscription system (ESS) platform of Dhaka Stock Exchange PLC (DSE), marking the maiden use of the system for a private bond issuance in Bangladesh.
The subscription opened on 18 May 2026 and will continue until 23 May 2026, according to DSE.
This is the first private bond to be offered to eligible investors through the ESS platform, expanding the digital infrastructure for capital market fundraising and bond issuance.
The subscription is being managed through ESS with BRAC EPL Investment Limited acting as issue manager, ensuring electronic execution of investor participation in the offering.
The bond has a total face value of Tk158.50 crore, of which Tk75.73 crore is being offered through the ESS platform to eligible investors.
It has been structured as a zero-coupon instrument with maturities of 1 year, 2 years and 3 years, allowing investors to select their preferred tenor.
DSE said the ESS-based subscription mechanism is expected to improve efficiency, transparency and accessibility in private bond issuance.
DSE Managing Director Nuzhat Anwar said the ESS platform marks a structural step in digitising capital market fundraising and widening access to alternative financing instruments.
BRAC EPL Investment CEO Syed Rashed Hossain said the ESS-based subscription establishes the foundation for a structured thematic and impact bond market in Bangladesh and improves execution efficiency for investors.
The Sajida Orange Zero-Coupon Bond is issued by Sajida Foundation as part of its thematic financing initiative aimed at impact-oriented investment.
