The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) transferred six inspectors, including new officers-in-charge (OCs) to three police stations.
The reshuffle was confirmed in an order signed by DMP Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters and Administration) Md Shahriar Ali on Wednesday.
According to the order, Yasin Mia, unarmed police inspector (investigation) of Cantonment Police Station, has been appointed as the officer-in-charge of Ramna Police Station.
Md Azharul Islam, unarmed police inspector of DB Cyber Special Crime North Division, has been made the officer-in-charge of Kamrangirchar Police Station.
Additionally, Md Nazrul Islam, another unarmed police inspector from DB Cyber Special Crime North Division, has been posted as the officer-in-charge of Shyampur Police Station.
In the same order, Md Rahat Khan, the outgoing officer-in-charge of Ramna Police Station, has been transferred to DMP’s City Intelligence Analysis Division.
Golam Faruq, officer-in-charge of Kamrangirchar Police Station, has been moved to DB Cyber Special Crime North Division.
Md Mahmudur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Shyampur Police Station, has been reassigned to DMP’s Counter Terrorism Investigation Division.
