The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on the entry of unauthorised persons within 200 yards of examination centres during the 2026 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations.

According to a public notice signed by DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Monday, the restriction will come into effect from 2 July, the day the examinations begin, and will remain in force on all exam days during examination hours.

Under Sections 28 and 29 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No. III of 1976), the authorities have declared that only examinees and individuals directly involved in conducting the examinations will be permitted within a 200-yard radius of the centres.

The measure has been introduced to ensure a smooth and disciplined examination environment across the capital during the national examinations.

This year’s HSC and equivalent examinations are scheduled to begin on July 2 across the country.
