Paltan Model Police Station of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has recovered and returned 105 lost mobile phone sets to their rightful owners on Tuesday.
DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the matter in a press release on Wednesday.
Paltan Model Police Station reported that based on General Diary (GD) entries filed by mobile phone owners for lost devices, the police utilised information technology to recover 105 mobile phones from various locations across the country between 1 December 2025 and 15 January 2026.
DMP Assistant Commissioner for Motijheel Zone Hussain Muhammad Farabi and Paltan Model Police Station ASI Iqbal Hossain played an active role in the recovery of the lost phones
The handover ceremony was attended by DMP Deputy Commissioner for Motijheel Division Mohammad Harun Ur Rashid, Assistant Commissioner Hussain Muhammad Farabi, and various officers from the thana.
Over the past year, Paltan Model Police Station have previously recovered and returned more than 600 lost mobile phones to their owners.
