A hearing on framing charges against ten individuals, including former Inspectors general of police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Haque and Mohammad Javed Patwary, on allegations of crimes against humanity, will be held on 24 September.
They are accused of 2016 murder of seven youths in Gazipur after branding them as militants.
International Crimes Tribunal-2 passed the order on Thursday. Prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim conducted the hearing on behalf of the prosecution.
According to the prosecution, seven individuals detained from different parts of the country were taken to a house in Gazipur on 8 October 2016 and shot dead.
Although it was claimed at the time that they were militants, an investigation by the agency revealed that the seven individuals had been arrested from various locations at different times and subjected to enforced disappearance for a prolonged period before being shot dead.
