The final song penned by celebrated lyricist Gazi Mazharul Anwar is set to reach audiences soon, carrying both artistic and emotional significance.
Titled ‘Meghla Akash’, the track has been composed and arranged by Apu Aman.
The song features vocals by Dithi Anwar alongside Apu Aman. According to Dithi, the accompanying music video has already been completed and is ready for release.
Speaking about the project, Dithi said the song holds deep personal value, as her father witnessed its recording during his lifetime. She added that he had long admired Apu Aman’s work and had encouraged him to compose several songs, including this one.
Apu Aman described the opportunity to work on the lyricist’s final composition as a milestone in his career. He noted that he had the chance to sit with Anwar shortly before his passing to shape the tune and aimed to create a melody that reflects the emotional weight of the lyrics.
Meghla Akash is expected to be released ahead of Eid on Dithi’s YouTube channel. The song also carries a poignant backstory, as Anwar had originally intended to perform it with his wife on their 50th wedding anniversary in 2022, a plan that remained unfulfilled.
