Former minister Dipu Moni was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital from Munshiganj jail after suddenly falling ill on Monday morning.
She received initial care at the hospital’s emergency department before being admitted to the medicine ward. Following examinations and treatment, she was sent back to prison.
Dipu Moni earlier served as foreign minister, education minister, and social welfare minister under the Awami League government.
After the administration fell on 5 August 2024 amid student‑public protests, police arrested her on the night of 19 August. She faces more than 38 cases, including charges of murder, crimes against humanity, corruption, and incitement to violence.
