Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival (DIMFF), an outreach programme under the Media and Journalism Department of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), successfully concluded its three-day celebration of joy, creativity, and cinema with vibrant festivities and star-studded appearances.
According to a press release, the carnival featured over 40 stalls showcasing a diverse range of products, including jewellery, fragrances, food, clothing, home décor items, makeup, and henna. The lively marketplace, combined with colorful décor and enthusiastic participation, created an engaging atmosphere for students and visitors alike.
A variety of interactive activities were arranged for spectators of all ages, such as Balloon Shooter, Nagor Dola, Ghuraina Chobi (360° rotation), and Gaaner Ashor.
One of the major highlights of the event was the exclusive CinemaGhor sessions, which welcomed prominent figures from the Bangladeshi film industry.
The first two days hosted special screenings and discussions on films such as Delupi and Barir Naam Shahana, offering valuable insights into filmmaking and storytelling, inspiring young minds and aspiring creatives.
The last day featured the screening and discussion of Noor with Actor Arifin Shuvoo, Actress Jannatul Ferdous Oishee, Associate Producer and Sound Designer Ripon Nath, and Associate Producer Raffael Ahsan.
The successful conclusion of the carnival reaffirmed DIMFF’s commitment to nurturing cinematic culture, creativity, and industry engagement among students and emerging filmmakers, the press release added.
