Dengue has claimed eight more lives in the past 24 hours, while 778 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country. With this figure, the total death toll from the disease this year has risen to 364.
This information was disclosed in a report issued on Saturday by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The report stated that the total number of dengue patients in the country this year, up until 23 November, stands at 90,264.
For context, from January to 31 December 2024, a total of 101,214 people were infected with dengue, and 575 people died from the disease.
Previously, from 1 January to 31 December 2023, a total of 1,705 people died from dengue, while a total of 321,179 infected individuals were admitted to hospitals.
