A views‑exchange meeting was held on Saturday at the office of Chittagong University Vice Chancellor Professor Mohammad Al‑Forqan with representatives of the World Bank and the HEAT Project.
Earlier, the visiting delegation inspected three ongoing projects at the university.
CU Pro‑Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Md Kamal Uddin and Acting Registrar Professor Mohammad Saiful Islam were present at the meeting.
Welcoming the guests, the VC inquired about the projects and stressed that the initiatives should conclude not only with infrastructure but also with research‑based outputs that benefit departments and the university as a whole.
He said that meetings had already been held with SPM and ASPM members of the projects and urged adherence to research protocols.
He also expressed gratitude to the delegation and presented gifts.
The visiting team include TM Asaduzzaman, Senior Education Specialist, World Bank; Toby Linden, Senior Economist, World Bank; Md Mahmudul Haque, Senior Consultant, World Bank; Professor Asaduzzaman, Director, HEAT Project; Md Shahidul Islam, Deputy Director, HEAT Project; and Md Altaf‑ul‑Alam, Acting Director, CU Planning and Development Office.
