A clash broke out between activists of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) and Islami Chhatra Shibir at Government Titumir College in Dhaka late Saturday night over the installation of a banner.
Several people were injured in the incident, which occurred around midnight, said Banani Police Station’s Inspector Mehedi Hasan.
He added that the two groups engaged in a scuffle following an argument over putting up the banner.
Sub-inspector Jewel Sarkar said a police team rushed to the scene around 11:30pm and brought the situation under control by about 12:30am.
