Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar on Friday said Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir is capable of sacrificing their lives for religion, adding that entire nation stands with the organisation in its journey to build a new Bangladesh.
Parwar made the remarks while addressing the Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir Central Members’ Conference 2025 at the China–Bangladesh Friendship Conference Centre in the capital.
He alleged that a group had resorted to propaganda after failing to confront the ideology of Chhatra Shibir, saying the nation would not believe falsehoods.
He described it as a historical reality that when forces fail to counter an ideological movement with strength, logic and ideals, they turn to lies and propaganda.
Referring to Chhatra Shibir as courageous, fearless and victorious, Parwar said the organisation had reached its current position through sacrifices and martyrdom.
He added that although a dark era had been left behind, conspiracies were again emerging at a time when national unity was needed.
He further said Chhatra Shibir is being labelled as anti-independence, throat-slitting and a secret organisation, but after the change in the political situation, the truth has emerged.
He said four public universities and the people have rejected those allegations, proving that students were not misled by false and fabricated claims.
