Charu Ceramic Sanitaryware is promoting next-generation, resource-efficient sanitary solutions as Bangladesh’s construction sector shifts towards environmentally responsible building practices, the company said in a statement.
The move comes as developers and architects increasingly prioritise green construction aligned with global sustainability standards, focusing on reducing water use and overall environmental impact.

Charu Ceramic said it is advancing water and energy conservation through its proprietary brand and a partnership with COTTO, offering solutions that balance performance with environmental efficiency.
A key feature is the adoption of dual flush systems with low-flow configurations of 2/4 litres and 3/4.5 litres, which can cut water use by up to 25 per cent compared with conventional systems.
The company said the technology can help save millions of litres of water over the lifecycle of large residential and commercial projects.
It is also introducing rimless siphon jet designs that improve flushing efficiency and hygiene by removing hidden areas where bacteria can accumulate.
Hygienic glazing technology creates a smooth ceramic surface that reduces dirt and mineral build-up, lowering the need for chemical cleaning and cutting maintenance costs, the statement said.
Charu Ceramic said its products are designed to meet European standards while being adapted for local conditions, aiming to support Bangladesh’s growing green building sector.
The company said wider adoption of such technologies would help improve resource efficiency and support sustainable urban development.
