Buckingham Palace confirmed late Saturday that King Charles’s forthcoming state visit to the United States will go ahead as planned, following “discussions on both sides of the Atlantic through the day.”
In a statement, the palace said that the King and Queen are “most grateful to all those who have worked at pace to ensure this remains the case,” adding that preparations for the programme are continuing.
Charles and Queen Camilla are set to depart Monday for Washington on a four‑day itinerary. The visit includes a meeting with US President Donald Trump at the White House, alongside other official engagements.
While the palace did not release further details of the agenda, officials underscored that arrangements remain on track.
The couple’s schedule is expected to feature ceremonial events and diplomatic exchanges, underscoring the significance of the royal presence in Washington.
