Trust Bank joins Tk3,000cr export diversification scheme

Trust Bank PLC has joined Bangladesh Bank’s Tk3,000 crore Export Diversification Refinance Scheme aimed at reducing the country’s reliance on the ready-made garment (RMG) sector and promoting broader export growth.

The agreement was signed at Bangladesh Bank’s head office by Sustainable Finance Department Director A K M Nurunnabi and Trust Bank Managing Director & CEO Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury on behalf of their respective organisations, said a press release.

The scheme has been introduced by Bangladesh Bank’s Sustainable Finance Department to support export diversification and encourage emerging export-oriented sectors.

Bangladesh Bank Additional Director Abu Alam and Joint Director Sazib Kumar Das of the Sustainable Finance Department attended the signing ceremony, along with Trust Bank SEVP & Head of CRM Division ABM Mizanur Rahman.

Officials from both organisations were also present at the event.
