Bruno Mars is officially back in album mode. The global pop star has announced his long-awaited new studio album titled ‘The Romantic’, marking his first solo record in nearly a decade.

Mars shared the update on Monday, confirming that the album is finished and revealing key release details. The Romantic will arrive on February 27, with its first single set to drop on Friday, January 9. Alongside the announcement, the singer unveiled the album artwork, a black-and-white illustrated portrait that hints at a more intimate and classic aesthetic.

The upcoming release follows a long gap since Mars’ last solo album, ‘24K Magic’, which was released in 2016 and went on to win multiple Grammy Awards. During the years in between, Mars explored collaborative projects, most notably forming Silk Sonic with Anderson .Paak. The duo released ‘An Evening With Silk Sonic’ in 2021 to widespread acclaim.

Mars has remained a constant presence on the charts through high-profile collaborations. He recently teamed up with Lady Gaga on the ballad ‘Die With A Smile’, worked with BLACKPINK’s Rosé on the viral hit ‘APT.’, and appeared on Sexyy Red’s track ‘Fat Juicy & Wet’. His collaboration with Rosé was later named one of TikTok’s top global songs of 2025.

While details about the sound and tracklist of The Romantic remain under wraps, the album title and artwork suggest a shift towards a more personal and emotionally driven direction.
