The Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB) and Rural Electricity Associations have distributed essential goods among flood-affected people in Chattogram district following days of continuous heavy rainfall that submerged large parts of the area.
The relief distribution took place on 14 July 2026 as a joint initiative of BREB and Rural Electricity Associations to support residents facing difficulties due to flooding, according to a press release.
The initiative was aimed at easing the suffering of people affected by the floods, with authorities expressing solidarity with communities impacted by the natural disaster.
The press release said the organisations hoped the assistance would provide support to affected residents during the ongoing crisis. It also included prayers for the well-being of flood victims.
