The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) reduced their trading hours by 40 minutes for Ramadan, with the new schedule taking effect during the holy month.
According to their press statements, trading will begin at their regular time of 10:00am and continue until 1:40pm, followed by a post-closing session from 1:40pm to 1:50pm, it said.
Regular sessions close at 2:20pm, and the post-closing session provides 10 additional minutes to buy and sell shares at the day’s closing prices.
Under the revised timetable, official activities at the bourses will run from 9:00am to 3:30pm during Ramadan.
After Ramadan, they will return to the regular schedule.
