A sack lying at the Farmgate Metro Rail Station triggered a bomb scare in the capital. Police cordoned off the suspicious object and informed the Bomb Disposal Unit to investigate.
Authorities said the sack found at the Farmgate station raised suspicion, and the Bomb Disposal Unit was alerted on the possibility that it might contain explosives.

When the Bomb Disposal Unit reached the scene and checked the item, they did not find a bomb. It was simply a crumpled sack left there.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Tejgaon Zone) of Police Md Akkas Ali confirmed the information to Times of Bangladesh around 1:30pm Saturday.

Meanwhile, another report of a bomb‑like object found under Mirpur‑10 Metro Station created panic in the area. The Bomb Disposal Unit is working at that scene.
As a result, the Mirpur‑10 Metro Station has been temporarily closed, police said.
However, all other stations and metro rail services remain operational as usual.
