Police recovered some bomb‑like objects on the Natore‑Naogaon highway in Naldanga upazila of Natore on Friday.
Naldanga Police Station’s Officer‑in‑charge (OC) Sakiul Azam said that locals spotted the objects and informed police around 9pm.
Later, police went to the spot and recovered five cocktail‑like objects and five petrol bomb‑like objects at Mohishmari. Alongside these, a banner with the photo of former lawmaker Shafiqul Islam Shimul was also seized.
Upon examination, the recovered items were found not to be actual cocktails or petrol bombs, but merely bomb‑like objects, the OC said.
