A large number of dramas aired during the Eid al-Adha season, but Boipoka managed to stand out from the crowd. Based on a story concept by Akbar Haider Munna and written by Limon Ahmed, the drama was directed by Topu Khan.
The drama features Khairul Basar and Sadnima Binte Noman in lead roles, and their on-screen chemistry has left a strong impression on viewers.
Released on June 2 on the YouTube channel Club Eleven Entertainment, Boipoka has drawn attention for its distinctive storytelling. In contrast to typical trending, comedy-heavy content, the drama presents a romantic narrative set against a family backdrop and has received widespread appreciation. Within just four days of its release, it surpassed 900,000 views, along with thousands of comments praising its story, direction, and performances.
Director Topu Khan said the drama highlights the negative impact of social media addiction and its influence on people’s lives. It also carries a message encouraging the younger generation to engage more with literature. He added that he felt confident about the story during production and is pleased with the audience response.
Story writer Akbar Haider Munna noted that today’s society is increasingly driven by social media fantasies, which are damaging family and social relationships. He also pointed out that reading habits, especially literature, are declining, and the drama aims to address these issues.
Khairul Basar described Boipoka as a different kind of project, saying its dialogues are emotionally engaging. He thanked director Topu Khan for creating such a narrative-driven drama.
Actress Sadnima also expressed her satisfaction, saying the experience of working on Boipoka will remain memorable. She added that she developed a strong emotional connection with her character.
The drama also features Azizul Hakim, Munira Yusuf Memee, Abdullah Rana, and Rozi Siddiqui, among others, with veteran actor Tariq Anam Khan appearing in a special role.
