In a swift response to the devastating blaze that swept through Mirpur’s Bhashantek slum, BNP has extended immediate financial aid and a firm commitment to rebuild the homes of those left destitute.
Party leaders visited the scene, conveyed condolences on behalf of BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman, and pledged to rebuild the houses destroyed in the blaze.
BNP Chairperson’s Adviser Professor Farhad Halim Donor, Engineer Abdur Rahman Sani, and Amra BNP Poribar Member Secretary Agriculturist Moksedul Momin Mithun went to the area after receiving reports of the incident.
The delegation assessed the damage and enquired about the condition of the victims, accompanied by members of Amra BNP Poribar, a medical team from the Ziaur Rahman Foundation and local BNP leaders.
The fire, reportedly caused by an electrical short circuit, gutted at least five houses, leaving several families without shelter and belongings.
